Grad_u is all round awesome - Sometimes sedge-waying into Ambient/expirermental dubbed - outness - Sometimes hitting hard with fast paced Techno styles.Umwelt feels like a good balance,all engineered and mastered by the man himself with skills of the highest level.I'll be back! We're arrived to the tenth chapter of Greyscale story. It's definitely a milestone for us. For this special occasion label boss grad_u is back with "UMWELT", his first full length album since “Endless Space” that was released back in 2012.
The umwelt theory states that the mind and the world are inseparable, because it is the mind that interprets the world. So in this ten-track album artist is focusing on the world around him, believing that the environment he's in subconsciously translates into his works. This time grad_u takes it even further - some of the tracks are incorporating the actual field recordings from his usual environment, while the others reshaping the feelings felt in the surroundings into the lush sonic passages.

*from the German Umwelt meaning "environment" or "surroundings"*

Recorded between 2009 and 2018, in 4 different incarnations of studio space.
Album concept idea born while visiting Berlin.
