Mood Series #106 is our first for the year 2024. We are excited to kick things off with amazingly talented Giacomo Pellegrino! The label boss for Detroit Side has been making moves in the scene and his work has attracted many new fans recently. In just a few years' time, his EP output has exploded to double digits. 'Mont Blanc' is Giacomo's 2nd release on Greyscale. Complete with 3 expressions into the deeper sides of dub techno exploration. 'Mer De Glace' begins like a movie soundtrack to an eerie sci-fi movie. The beat is mechanical and persistent like that of some underwater propulsion man-made machine. The crest of the chords rides a serious tone while never being overbearing or outstaying their welcome. Surely, one for the serious heads. 'Courmayer' picks up the pace and verges on a banger level. This kind of no-nonsense techno is not for the light-hearted. The vocal snippets are brilliant, adding that dialogue to the storyline. 'Chamonix' balances out the previous tracks with the deepest one yet. This one explores the unknown depths with caution. Ominous being the understatement of the year. We like this kind of darkness. 'Mont Blanc' delivers with high marks. A great way to kick 2024 off with! 'Mont Blanc' is released on digital only.
