Mood Series gets a visit from a familiar name with Zub. 'Come Adrift' is #101 for the Mood Series in totality. The title track plants itself firmly between house and techno while the underlying groove holding things in place is purely dub components. Naturally, with the title one will think of an aquatic atmosphere but it has much more than that. The percussion is where things get interesting. Always supporting the deepness, the intricate changes really add to the complexities of the rhythm. The wicked bassline holds everything in place. The kind of track you want to drift forever to. 'Deep Blue' is a great companion to the title track. It also is a nice breezy, melodic dub groover. Both of these gems have and fantastic charm to them for day and night DJ sessions. And both are sure to get approval from the average club goer to the most discerning dub fanatic. We are very pleased to see Zub back on the Mood Series.
