Mood Series and Greyscale favorite Francisco Aguado is back with his latest music. The title 'The Ukrainians' is not a coincidence. Cognizant of the events in that country, Francisco wanted to honor those brave, noble and proud people who are going thru difficult national events with these track titles. 'Resistance' carries on beautifully thru a nicely paced opener. This sets the mood for a high tech and brisk techno journey. 'Union' focuses on long chord delays to transfix the listener while the rhythm subliminally moves your body. All these tracks are in the 6:30 to 9 minute range making them ideal long mood setting dub techno tracks that beg to be mixed. Some are a touch subdued like 'Lost Souls' while a track like 'Warriors', is upbeat and eager. All are addictive and deep. 'Exodus' is the most in line with the roots of dub, it still manages to push out a nice 4x4 beat to keep pace with the others. It is difficult to pick out a favorite among all 7 of these strong early / late night heady gems. We want to stand with Francisco in showing our love and support for the Ukrainian people. And all people on both sides who are against war. We hope this will end as peacefully as possible very soon.
