Mood Series #8 takes us to the UK with producer Deepcut. The title track 'Distance', reminds us of Apparat or Dntel with its whimsicle and charming melodics over a techno beat. The delays and echo still holding the dub theme while working in some acid lines into the mixture. Unique to say the least. An anthem! 'Night train' gives off a Detroit inspired feel to the rhythm and chords while the tech work up the dub duties. Classic sounding and we love the break midway thru!
The EP rounds out with the highly groovy 'Small hours' and the moody experimentalism of the performed live 'Midnight'. We are sure that you will find this as enjoyable as we have.
